Privacy

How this site treats your privacy and the data it shows, in plain terms.

Employment Facts Only

This site publishes neutral employment facts about NYPD officers: rank and rank history, shield number, tax ID, command assignment, appointment date, arrest totals, awards, and salary bands. It is an employment directory, not a misconduct database. Complaint and discipline records do not appear here.

Public Sources, Refreshed Weekly

Officer records come from two public sources: NYC Open Data and NYPD's own Officer Profile portal. This site re-publishes them every week.

What Stays on Your Device

There is no account and nothing to sign into. Your searches never leave this device: they run in your browser against a copy of the public data file. The only things this site stores are two small preferences, your theme choice and your salary display setting, saved on your own device.

Questions

For questions about the officer records themselves, contact the agency that publishes them. For questions about this site, reach out via the project repository.
